My story starts with a love of language,
from the detective stories I wrote as a kid to the English classes I taught for many years. I still write and I still teach (sometimes!), but my current passion is editing–yes, the work we all love to hate.
I made the leap to scientific editing over ten years ago and have been helping scientists with their grants and manuscripts ever since, balancing the impact of the narrative sections with the precision work of sentence-level changes.
But I haven’t left the humanities behind. With an MA in English and an MFA in creative writing, I am also devoted to the behind-the-scenes work of communicating a meaningful story, whether that story comes from your research or your life.
